With the growth of social media it is as easy to spread disinformation as it is to connect with people on online platforms. The google owned platform “Youtube” grew to a 81% adult user base in America which makes it a giant in the social media world. That large user base in combination with their advertising algorithm new videos are recommended to the user based on what they have previously watched. This has enabled a wealth of conspiracy and fake news content to be spread due to the virility of the platform.
